Keynote address - Dr Dawn Harper, from C4 Embarrasing Bodies

Dr Dawn works as both an NHS doctor in Gloucestershire and a private doctor on Harley Street .  She has been working as a media doctor for over twelve years and her ability to simplify complex medical issues has made her an extremely sought after medical commentator and expert speaker.  In her keynote address, Dr Dawn will discuss how LACA members can continue to shape a healthier  future for our children and in turn could this actually help save the NHS?  Topics covered will include her work with Public Health England’s Change4Life Campaign; insights from the most recent Childhood Obesity Summit as well getting to the ‘Fat of the Matter’ talking about the cost of Type2 Diabetes and how childhood eating habits tend to pass into adulthood.

With her trademark entertaining and informative approach, Steph McGovern’s address will analyse the current economic situation in the UK and the likely economic scenarios that the public sector, particularly the Education and School Food Sectors, will need to consider including the ongoing impact of Brexit.

Following her update, Steph also chair the launch of the LACA Vision.
