John has been in the industry for over 35 years. He started out at 16 years old in the Merchant Navy as a chef working to be head chef at the age of 21. When he came ashore, he worked in various kitchens from hospitals to fine dining establishments. John has now been at Hobart for 18 years, beginning as the catering specialist in the South West before progressing to his current position as Cooking and Food Preparation Product Manager. He leads the new cooking product introductions for the UK market, working closely with the Hobart factories in France, Italy, Switzerland, the US and the UK.
