Covid Safety

If you are attending this year's LACA Main Event or School Food Show please take a moment to read this important information in preparation for your arrival at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Tuesday 12th – Thursday 14th October 2021.

Following recommended Government guidelines, as a courtesy to each other and to help us provide a comfortable and enjoyable event for everyone attending, please:

  • Bring either proof of double vaccination or a recent negative lateral flow test. You can do this using the NHS COVID PASS. This can be obtained using the NHS England App NHS App - NHS (www.nhs.uk) (not the NHS Track and Trace). We suggest downloading the app and setting up your details in advance to ensure you have your pass to hand on arrival. We will give you a wristband to wear for the duration of your time at LACA Main Event/School Food Show to show that we have seen your Covid pass.
  • If you are based in Scotland, please use the link below to get your Covid pass: Get a record of your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status | The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine (nhsinform.scot)
  • If you have not been double vaccinated, you can order rapid self-test kits online - where the result can be recorded onto the NHS England App to access a Covid Pass.

This information will be checked before you register to collect your badge.

Other precautions in place:

  • Do not attend if you have any coronavirus symptoms or have been instructed to self-isolate.
  • We will be operating a one-way system through the School Food Show exhibition suites to aid social distancing.  Please stick to this system and do not try and enter by other doors.
  • We advise the use of face masks whilst moving around the venue.
  • Please use the hand-sanitiser available around the venue and on tables.
  • Be mindful of others and their space, where possible.
